On October 26th, 2021, Mr. Sean Zhang, the Managing Director of Rexel China, and a group of six people were invited to the HQ of SMC to formally sign the strategic cooperation framework agreement. Mr. Sean Zhang, MD of Rexel China, Ms. Li Xiufeng, GM of Beijing Zhongheng, Mr. Yuan Baozhu, GM of Rexel Ouneng, Mr. Hu Junjin, Rexel China Marketing Director, Mr. Ma Qinghai, GM of SMC, and Mr. Liu Laxi, deputy GM of SMC attended the meeting. At the signing ceremony, the two parties reached agreement on channel customer development, customer types and development directions.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Ma Qinghai said that SMC is actively seeking market and industry growth, focusing on several emerging industries, and actively seeking for some national distributors. SMC keeps strengthening its competitiveness and tries to expand into new markets.
Mr. Liu Laxi said that SMC welcomes the participation of powerful comprehensive distributors like Rexel. SMC hopes to transfer some customers to Rexel for maintenance, laying the foundation for cooperation between the two parties and at the same time to be able to complement each other’s strengths, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly develop and expand the market share. Mr. Sean Zhang said that the current development of Rexel in China is based on customer-oriented multi-brand solutions and digital technology solutions. By these means Rexel China is differentiated from other domestic distributors. SMC Pneumatic products are supplement to the existing product line and can strengthen the cooperative relationship between Rexel and its customers.
The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement has furthered the in-depth cooperation between Rexel and SMC Group. According to the cooperation agreement, Rexel will become the national authorized distributor of SMC. Rexel and SMC will work together to actively explore efficient and pragmatic customer cooperation models, and leverage their respective leading advantages in the industry to conduct in-depth strategic cooperation in the OEM customer industry. The two parties will actively explore new models of cooperation, achieve their goals of high growth, and create new one-stop customer needs and experiences.
