On November 28, 2019, with the support of Siemens China factory automation and general motion control department, Rexel China and Linghua technology successfully held the “Rexel PN motion controller project cooperation signing ceremony” in Shanghai. The three brands will jointly launch PC based motion control solutions supporting PN IRT (PROFINET IRT) to promote to customers in the target industry.
Under the witness of Mr. Qiao Weimin, general manager of general motion control department of Siemens Digital Industry Group, Mr. Zhang Xu, Managing Director of Rexel China and Mr. Luo Guowei, General Manager of Linghua Technology China signed the contract on behalf of both parties.
Three party joint innovation breakthrough
As a leading distributor of industrial electrical products and services in China, Rexel China provides 40000 SKU products from more than 20 first-line industrial brands, which can cover the needs of Chinese customers, especially small and medium-sized customers. To capture the customer’s demand for motion control board products supporting PROFINET protocol, the Rexel China project team actively promoted the tripartite cooperation project with Siemens and Linghua technology after nearly three years of market user research, verification and preparation.
According to Mr. Liu Leilei, project manager of Rexel China’s PN board card, the upcoming PN motion control board has conventional motion control functions such as speed setting, positioning, gear synchronization, multi axis linear interpolation, multi axis circular arc interpolation, and multi axis spiral interpolation. It is preliminarily planned to launch three versions of 8-axis, 16 axis and 64 axis, which are compatible with IPC industrial computers of mainstream brands in the market; cooperate with high performance data acquisition card, visual processing control system, PN servo system, so as to realize the complete solution of PC based PN IRT.
In this project, Rexel China will set up a professional PC based technology application team, which is responsible for selling related products of Linghua technology, promoting the complete solution of PN motion control board, on-site debugging, etc., and cooperate with OEM customers, Siemens drive product distributors, and third-party system integrators to complete the construction of the complete solution of PN motion control board.
Mr. You Canming, director of Linghua technology intelligent machinery product center, said that as a product supplier, Linghua technology has nearly 25 years of experience in the field of motion control. So far, more than 500000 axles in the industry have used Linghua technology motion control card. This time, Linghua technology will not only provide PN motion control board, but also integrate and adapt other related products, so that the technical team of Rexel China can reach customers.

He introduced the current situation of the servo business of general motion control department of Siemens China digital industry group, and talked about Siemens’ plans and expectations for the future development of PN motion control board. Siemens general motion control department will provide opportunities for OEM customers to cooperate and help its SINAMICS V90 / S210 and other servo products to integrate seamlessly with PN motion control board.

At the customer level, PROFINET is one of the important digital standards in the future. It takes into account both real-time and openness, and can complete the consistency from OT to IT. Compared with other industrial Ethernet protocols, PROFINET can achieve one network to the end in one development.
According to the introduction, Rexel China, Siemens and Linghua Technology will expand their breakthrough in selecting system solutions from OEM customers in electronic equipment manufacturing, new energy lithium battery, laser processing, packaging and other industries through PN card project cooperation. Rexel China also tries to extend the PC based package to traditional woodworking machinery, pharmaceutical machinery, textile machinery, automobile and other industries, focusing on East China and South China, as well as key cities in Central China such as Wuhan and Hefei, bringing different product mix experiences to customers.
